Chris Stein is a junior at Hunter College majoring in psychology with a concentration in neuroscience. Over the summer of 2023, he studied protein trafficking in the rod photoreceptors of mice in Dr. Jillian Pearring’s lab at the University of Michigan. In preparation for working in Dr. Nesha Burghardt’s lab in the Fall of 2023, he remotely shadowed her work on serotonin-dependent pathways. In the future, he hopes to conduct research on the effects of stress in the body at a molecular and behavioral level. He is particularly interested in the intersection between the two.
