Description:

I am a senior at Hunter College double majoring in Psychology and English. I am interested in studying Psychopathy from a Behavioral Neurobiology prospective. My interest in Psychopathy lies in the lack of agreement on the causes and characteristics which distinguishes a psychopath. Eventually, I hope to consolidate the discrepancies in order to produce a symptom criterion, so that one day we can asses, diagnose, and treat psychopaths, specifically adolescents. Currently, I am a research assistant in the Emotional Regulation Lab with Dr. Tracy Dennis, where the aim of the lab is to understand emotions, in order to raise competence in psychopathology, particularly Anxiety and mood disorders. Upon completion of my undergraduate studies, I plan on obtaining a Ph.D in Neuropsychology so that I can continue my research.
